Meet Taerrah
Taerrah Badten, RDH, BSDH, OMT
With over 13 years of experience as a dental hygienist—10 of those specializing in pediatric dentistry—I’ve had the privilege of working with infants, children, teens, and individuals with special needs. Over the years, I’ve consistently witnessed how growth patterns and improper function can impact overall health, leading to breathing challenges, speech delays, jaw development issues, and sleep disturbances. However, it wasn’t until one of my own children struggled with pediatric sleep apnea that I fully immersed myself in myofunctional therapy. This journey helped me understand the critical role of airway health, proper oral function, and early intervention in preventing lifelong health issues that many of us adults unknowingly accept as "normal."
My dedication is to help patients of all ages achieve better breathing, improved sleep, mood, and energy levels, and optimal function through a collaborative approach with their healthcare team. I believe addressing growth setbacks early lays the foundation for lifelong wellness—and adults can benefit just as much. That’s why, alongside myofunctional therapy, I incorporate specialized intraoral manual techniques focusing on the head and neck and the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ). There are many manual therapeutic benefits underutilized by adults and by combining these therapies, I aim to restore balance, reduce pain, and improve quality of life for those who have lived with years of improper function and pain.
I’m excited to begin this journey and to start offering this transformative care. While I’ll begin seeing patients in mid-2025, I invite you to follow my social media accounts as I share valuable information and education on the exceptional benefits of incorporating myofunctional therapy and hands-on manual therapy into your life.
I graduated from Wenatchee Valley College in 2010 with my Associates of Arts Degree and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene with a Minor in Health Sciences from Eastern Washington University in 2013. I have since committed myself to continually staying up to date with many advancements in dentistry and recently completed the Myofunctional Therapy Course with the reputable MyoMentor Group to become an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist (OMT). I have also completed additional training specific to intra-oral massage techniques focusing on the head, neck, and TMJ. My husband and I reside in Waterville, WA and we have two amazing daughters.
